Dear Directors,
In order to accommodate a record number of participants in this solo/ensemble event, we have made changes to the flow from previous years.
1) CHECK-IN is still off of the bus lane (North entrance on Caddo Trail), but performers will enter through the ART ROOM, not the cafeteria to check-in. If you are paying your registration fee on-site, we can accept cash, checks made payable to NTCA, or credit cards with up to a 4% processing fee. All payments will receive a printed receipt. Performers will exit check-in and head to the holding area.
2) HOLDING AREA is now in the band hall.
3) RESTROOMS are in the hallway towards the cafeteria and restrooms/CHANGING facilities for performers are available in the girls and boys athletic locker rooms. PLEASE instruct your performers not to change, dress, or do make-up in the hallway restrooms, rather to use the locker rooms.
4) WARMUP will be in the cafeteria which is divided into three areas for A, B, and C. There is ample space to warmup and spin, but the ceiling cannot accommodate high tosses. If performers need to take high tosses, we have a “toss zone” set up just past concessions in the northern-most hallway and have areas marked off for A, B, and C. In addition, the tennis courts are available for unlimited outdoor warmup.
5) TICKETS and programs for ALL SPECTATORS will be in the lobby of the main entrance of the school. After purchasing tickets, spectators will go to either Gym A, Gym B, or Gym C.
6) GYMNASIUMS will be clearly labeled. The gym with windows directly across from the cafeteria is GYM A. GYM B is on the east side of Gym A. GYM C is the community gym, located across the spectator parking lot. There are additional restrooms in the building with Gym C.
7) GUIDES/ESCORTS will be provided ONLY FOR performers competing in Gym C after they finish warmup. Performers in Gym A and Gym B will simply follow the arrows on the floor. Please instruct performers to be lined up at the cafeteria doors 5 minutes before their scheduled warmup time.
8) AWARDS will be distributed in the awards room which is the secondary art room past the band hall and directly across from Gym B. Please report to the awards area 15 minutes following your performance.
9) DIRECTORS HOSPITALITY will be in the library and is available to NTCA directors with a badge, school administrators, and bus drivers.
10) CONCESSIONS and vendors will be located between Gym A and the cafeteria.
