AWARDS:

• Awards to be given include divisional ratings of Superior, Excellent, Good, Fair, and Poor
• Medals awarded to all soloists and ensembles who achieve a Superior rating (Division I: Score of 80 or higher)
• Participation Certificates given to all performers
• Performers achieving a score of 90+ at either 4/13 or 4/27 qualify for NTCA All-Stars competition on May 4, 2019

ENTRY FEES FOR QUALIFYING S/E CONTESTS (PAID UPON CHECK IN AT RESPECTIVE S/E EVENT; ALL STAR PAID AT THE QUALIFYING EVENT VIA CASH OR CHECK TO NTCA):

• $25 per performer, per entry (example: a student participating in one solo and one ensemble owes $50 upon check-in. Each member of an ensemble pays $25. Ensembles can be 2-4 performers only)
• Entries paid cash or check to NTCA upon check-in
• Units will be charged for registered students who are a DNA (Did Not Attend) following the contest
• Performers can attend either or BOTH qualifying competitions

CONTEST DETAILS:

• All performers must be a current member of NTCA
• Minimum performance time: 1 1/2 minutes
• MAXIMUM performance time: 3 minutes (please edit music accordingly)
• 4 minute intervals
• Any recognized equipment may be utilized
• No minimum equipment time
• Following each performance, ratings will be posted outside the gym area
• Once a rating is posted, performers or unit instructor report to the awards table where they will receive: judges sheet, certificate, and medal if Superior rating was earned
• There is no formal awards ceremony
• Division I rating performers register for ALL STAR on site when picking up contest materials following rating posting
• ALL-STAR registration is $20 cash or check to NTCA at the qualifying contest(s) awards table

ALL-STAR qualifying dates:

WEEK 1: Saturday, April 13, 2019 at RED OAK HS

WEEK 2: Saturday, April 27, 2018 at ALVARADO HS or BISHOP LYNCH HS (director registers student(s) through CompetitionSuite)

ALL STAR date:

Saturday, May 4, 2019 at Lake Ridge HS (student or director registers student on site at the 4/13 or 4/27 qualifying eventS)

ALL STAR DETAILS:

• Performers receiving a 90+ at a qualifying Solo & Ensemble contest are invited to participate in All-Stars.
• Registration of $20 per performer, per event, is done on site at a qualifying event (April 13 and/or April 27)
• Divisional rating awards will be given for Superior (Division I)
• Performers receiving a 95 or higher also receive an NTCA All-Star patch
• ALL STAR PAID AT THE QUALIFYING EVENT (4/13 or 4/27) VIA CASH OR CHECK TO NTCA

SPECTATOR ENTRY: $5 PER PERSON
